Wildlife Refuge Chincoteague, VA

After a to short visit with Tom & Nancy in Murrells Inlet, SC which included golf, fantastic restaurants, and great people we needed to return to our happy home in New Jersey. I’m always trying to extend road trips with new or favorite sites so I suggested that we stop and spend time at the National Wildlife Refuge on Assateague Island, Chincoteague, VA. April is a little early but we were hoping for a few birds and of course there is always Wild Horses. To enlarge click on images.

There are several views for sunrises and sunsets.

Some days the Horses are very scarce and you need to hike a few miles to see them. Today a few were within 150-200 yards from the trail.
